From A Far.

Being part time at uni has changed me into an inspired and motivated little individual, I am continuously stumbling across new rabbit holes which greet me with inspirational projects, photographers, designers and models who are all young, free and love what they do. And so it has bought me to my belief that I will be able to find something that makes me happy and fulfills me as much as the people who I have witnessed from a distance. But then again things look a lot more different when they are far away.

On a different subject, I found some amazing 90s light denim jeans at the salvos for $4 !!! They fit perfectly, how often does that happen that you stumble across perfectly fitted jeans at the op shop ! My luck is turning, I'm feeling amazing and life is good.

Here are some photos from a shoot I did with the amazing Eva Hatten. She reminded me of Patti Smith when i began to shoot her, her strong features had me at hello and beach bypasses a little bit confused…

P.S Thank you Sam for doing the design on banana, I will see you down the rabbit hole.

Desire to Inspire

I will keep this post short and sweet as I have been so extra lazy lately and it has been so amazing. However, I do apologize for my lack of blog posts ! I am just in the process of choosing what fabrics to use to make my first few pieces! I found an old single bed sheet at the salvos today which i think i will use for the fabric !! I cant wait to get started ! Anywho ! I have started my own tumblr which is one of the reasons for my lack of doing my own photos etc ! Here is some of the inspiration that i have found through tumblr and also if you want to have a visit the URL is www.apricotaccent.tumblr.com. XX

 World of Innocence.

" It seemed as if the whole world was slowly being stripped of its innocence. Or maybe I was just seeing a little too clearly."
I wanted to write in this quote that I read the other day in Just Kids, if I read this a year or so ago I wouldnt have understood but lately it makes a whole lot of sense. I am really up to that stage that I experience every couple of months where I need a hair change. I am thinking maybe grey/dark blonde hair at a medium hair length with blunt ends. I want to start making some two piece suits. I am thinking a really high neck to shoulder simple top with some well fitted shorts to match. Hawai/Greek patterns are making me happy lately. So maybe this will be my first fabric pattern attempt! I will keep you posted!
I also bought some amazing shoes the other day, a slight creeper platform, a high top fitted suede boot with some nice laces. I also bought some baggy 90s denim pants and a black wooly jumper to keep me warm on my long ventures up to Melbourne. I'm beginning to be swallowed by the whole 80s surfer neon look. Its all so exciting! Anyway last year I did a few photo shoots for studio arts! I lost my hard drive but luckily Samuel had these images on his computer. Thank GOD!
I hope you like them, a few are a bit blurry but my favorite one is of Sam and Bella. So FREAKING cute.

White Collars

Yes I went to Washington… lots of museums…beautiful architecture… however, not the most stimulating place that I have ever been too. A few things I did enjoy were the lovely art museum, which housed a piece of blue tube string which was a couple of meters long and wide it was such a strange and foreign sensation to walk through it. I did have some down time to read Just Kids by Patti Smith and also watch the whole Beatles anthology again so in other words Washington was a holiday; however,  It was a lovely journey home. I made friends with an Australian man called Josh who wore a NYC cap and was as overjoyed as I was to board the flight to our cold country, which was calling me and most likely him with open arms. Here are a few images from the trip, I start back at uni again tomorrow! I cant work out if I am nervous or excited. It will be lovely to walk around the cold foggy city again.
